ISO 14001:2026 – Making a successful transition – #151

Context
- You are certified to ISO 14001:2015 and would like to transition your Environmental Management System (EMS) to the 2026 version.
- You are an internal environmental auditor and wish to update your competencies to align with the 2026 version.
Objectives
- Understand the changes introduced in ISO 14001:2026
- Identify the impacts of these changes on your EMS
- Develop a structured transition plan
- Prepare for the certification audit, taking these changes into consideration
Recommanded for
- EMS, QSE/HSE managers or coordinators, and environmental managers
- Internal auditors, process managers, and site representatives
- Managers involved in regulatory compliance and environmental performance
Prerequisites
- Basic knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and understanding of how an EMS operates
- An existing or planned EMS (recommended)
- Bring a copy of the ISO 14001:2026 standard
Pedagogy
- During the day, participants will assess the impacts of the new standard on their EMS and develop a transition plan.
Specific operating conditions for remote sessions
- Have a PC equipped with a microphone, a webcam and, if possible, a headset for greater comfort. Note: wallpapers are available on Zoom or Teams to hide the background.
- Have a good Internet connection, which should be tested before the session.
- Settle down in a quiet, isolated place; set yourself to “unavailable” status on Teams; close your email access, and mute your phone, so as not to be disturbed during the session.
- Participants from the same organisation should not be grouped together in the same room, but each at their own desk.
- The end-of-course knowledge test must be taken with your webcam and microphone turned on. We may need to verify that you are alone in the room.
- Please sign in 5 minutes before the start of the session.
Evaluation mode
- Knowledge test (multiple-choice questions).
Course materials
- Participant file containing the presentations delivered during the training and the exercise materials.
- Digital training materials are made available to trainees a few days before the start of the training course on our LMS platform.
