Measurement of particulate contamination in accordance with ISO 16232 – #192
Categories :
Context
-
The operation and performance of modern automotive components and systems are sensitive to the presence of one or more particles of critical size and different types. Consequently, it is essential to assess the levels of contamination present on products resulting from manufacturing processes, based on established cleanliness specifications.
-
The ISO 16232 standard presents the different analysis methods and allows an approved extraction method to be defined to compare inspection results.
Objectives
- Select the appropriate extraction, filtration and analysis methods
- Qualify the analysis method
- Establish analysis routines and compare results
- Initiate an appropriate reaction plan if specifications are exceeded.
- Be able to apply the method in your organisation
- Develop your personal action plan to implement customer requirements in your company
Recommanded for
- Technicians, engineers, laboratory analysis service managers
- Quality system engineers, quality customer and production engineers, as well as process auditors (internal or supplier)
Prerequisites
- Basic knowledge of particulate contamination and laboratory analysis equipment.
Pedagogy
- The learning technique is based on sub-group activities with exercises and the use of case studies.
- The training enables each participant to define an action plan using a personalised individual progression plan.
- The recommended templates, guidelines and examples for each deliverable are provided in the training module.
Specific operating conditions for remote sessions
- Have a PC equipped with a microphone, a webcam and, if possible, a headset for greater comfort. Note: wallpapers are available on Zoom or Teams to hide the background.
- Have a good Internet connection, which should be tested before the session.
- Settle down in a quiet, isolated place; set yourself to “unavailable” status on Teams; close your email access, and mute your phone, so as not to be disturbed during the session.
- Participants from the same organisation should not be grouped together in the same room, but each at their own desk.
- The end-of-course knowledge test must be taken with your webcam and microphone turned on. We may need to verify that you are alone in the room.
- Please sign in 5 minutes before the start of the session.
Evaluation mode
- Knowledge test (multiple-choice questions).
Course materials
- Participant file containing the presentations delivered during the training and the exercise materials.
- Digital training materials are made available to trainees a few days before the start of the training course on our LMS platform.
