Context
Your company has a quality management system built according to ISO 9001 and you wish to train new internal auditors. These future auditors are beginners.
Objectives
Grasp all aspects of auditing a quality management system according to ISO 9001:2015 and learn how to conduct audits effectively:
- Understand how to prepare, conduct, and conclude an audit in line with ISO 19011 requirements.
- Master the process approach and its connection to business performance management.
- Recognize the role of an auditor and its impact on the continuous improvement of the system.
- Apply effective communication techniques during audits, including the CAPDo® method for efficient interviewing.
- Audit the implementation of ISO 9001:2015 requirements and applicable stakeholder expectations.
- Develop audit checklists, create audit agendas using the V-model approach, and apply CAPDo® logic.

Prerequisites
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.
- Access to the ISO 9001:2015 standard text during the session.
Pedagogy
This training module emphasizes practical application of tools and techniques through a MAIN SEQUENCE of conducting a full audit from start to finish:
- Either on real cases (if the session takes place on-site),
- Or through case studies (in-class, using realistic and representative scenarios).
In both cases, each participant (in pairs) will:
- Prepare an audit (document analysis, creating checklists and questionnaires),
- Conduct interviews with auditees (using various question types and gathering factual evidence),
- Draft findings (focusing on the 4 key elements of nonconformity),
- Present conclusions (explaining and justifying findings).
Immediate feedback allows participants to identify their strengths and areas for improvement.

- Knowledge test (MCQ).
