Categories :
1,390.00 € HT
Approved by the Ministry of Labour on 01/01/26
Context
This training module aims to provide the knowledge and skills defined in standards NF C18-550, NF C18-505-1 and NF C18-505-2-1 for carrying out live work on batteries or battery packs in vehicles with combustion engines, electric motors or hybrid engines (voltage greater than 60V DC or capacity greater than 275 Ah).
It enables the ‘T’ rating, supplemented by the letter L (NF C18-550) in Low Voltage, to be obtained in order to:
- Acquire knowledge about the dangers of working with live equipment.
- Assemble components or storage batteries to form a battery pack
- Install or remove the vehicle’s battery pack(s)
- Replace one or more battery components or parts
- Maintain terminals, bare connections or battery bodies
- Disassemble a battery box or battery pack
Objectives
At the end of the training course, trainees will be able to:
- use and complete documents relating to the requested operations;
- ensure the feasibility of live working (TST);
- analyse the work situation and check that the resources available are adequate;
- set up and organise the work area to ensure their own safety and that of third parties;
- identify and carry out live working safely;
- master the defined operating procedure and associated actions;
- interrupt the current work phase in the event of technical or material difficulties not provided for in the operating procedure;
- manage work interruptions;
- complete live work and report to the site manager and employer in accordance with the defined procedures.
Recommanded for
- Any person required to work on live electrical equipment on the battery pack or battery box of an electric vehicle/machine and who must be familiar with the general and specific requirements for working on live electrical equipment.
Prerequisites
- Be at least 18 years of age;
- Have completed initial or continuing training in electrical engineering
- Know how to take measurements with a multimeter
- Know how to tighten to torque
- For battery pack installation and removal operations: at least six months of professional experience in vehicle maintenance, repair or end-of-life operations
- For battery pack repair operations: at least six months’ professional experience in the field of electrical work on de-energised equipment
- Have been trained and certified for operations in areas such as work on de-energised equipment in accordance with the requirements of standard NF C 18 550.
- Be in possession, from the first day of training, of the PPE and work clothing mentioned in the letter of commitment, as well as proof of identity.
- Be in possession of your NF C18-550 authorisation certificate
The training organisation must have the letter of commitment signed by the employer at the start of the training.
Pedagogy
- Alternating theoretical and practical input.
- Thematic exchange of experiences, practices and representations among participants with a view to identifying synergies and fostering consensus-based reflection.
- A theoretical test consisting of several questions designed to assess knowledge.
- A practical test during which candidates must perform the tasks indicated using the necessary materials, tools and equipment.
Evaluation mode
- Assessment of expected theoretical and practical prerequisites (these determine whether the trainee can continue with the training)
- Knowledge test (multiple-choice questions) plus practical test on traction battery pack
Course materials
- Safety prescription booklet.
