ISO 19443 : 2018 – Become Lead Auditor System- #199

Context
ISO 19443: 2018 places increased emphasis on auditor qualification. This exclusive 3-day training programme is the highest level of auditor training available for this standard. The course is designed to prepare third party auditors to meet the requirements of the new ISO 19443 standard, and can also be taken by first and second party auditors who wish to upgrade. Successful completion of the final examination will result in the award of the following certificate:
- ISO 19443: 2018 and ISO/TS 23406: 2020 auditor certificate
Objectives
- Master the main principles and share the knowledge of the actors of the sector.
- To master the requirements applicable to the nuclear energy sector contained in ISO 19443: 2018 in addition to ISO 9001:2015.
- To evaluate its mastery of the standard with regard to the requirement of ISO/TS 23406: Requirements for bodies providing certification audits for organizations supplying products or services important to nuclear safety

Senior auditors.
Prerequisites
- Strong knowledge and significant experience in the nuclear sector.
- Proficiency in ISO 9001:2015 requirements and audit methodology.
- Strong audit experience.
Pedagogy
Alternating theory and practice. Exercises based on a fictitious company. Numerous role plays will be proposed.
A case study starts in sequence 6 until sequence 8 and is the “red thread” for the application of the requirements of the standard and its specificities. This case study represents more than 50% of the training time.
Evaluation mode
- Final theoretical exam for the minimum level required.

- Requirements for ISO 19443 certification auditors according to annex A of ISO/TS 23406.
Session 4
- Constitution of the reference system.
- Link with the two “guide” standards ISO/TS 23406 and ISO/TS 4450: 2020.
Session 5
- Presentation of the main principles specific to the ISO 19443: 2018 standard.
- Details of the following principles: nuclear safety culture, risk analysis, identification of elements and activities important to nuclear safety and graded approach.

- Presentation of different types of mapping.
- Pedagogy dedicated to the case study.
- Operational activities: analysis/sharing of requirements related to operational activities, analysis of the case study exercises and identification/formalisation of deviations and reinforcement.
Day 2:

- End of the so-called operational activities: analysis/sharing of the requirements related to the operational activities, analysis of the case study exercises and identification/formalisation of gaps and reinforcement.
