MSP / SPC : Become an Expert in Statistical Process Control (Core Tools AIAG) – #351
Context
You want to improve the statistical management of your processes.
Your processes are controlled by Shewart control charts, and you want to know how to and set up control charts to detect minor deviations.
Objectives
- Identify opportunities to improve your MSP/SPC approach, according to the AIAG manual.
- Understand the benefits of sliding average and range maps, Shainin map, EWMA map, CUSUM maps (one-sided, two-sided).
- Know how to carry out capability studies on non-normal distributions.

Know the Shewart maps (X,mR, Xbarre-R, attribute maps).
Pedagogy
- The course includes a number of exercises to help you use the various control charts.
- The control charts are supplied in Excel format.
- For in-house training, preparation prior to the course enables data to be collected with a view to developing company-specific exercises.
