BECOME A YELLOW BELT – #63
Context
You wish to widely deploy a 6 Sigma improvement culture (project approach and associated tools) to operational and functional teams and/or enable future 6 Sigma project participants to understand the approach and tools in order to effectively contribute to strategic objectives.
Objectives
- Understand what Six Sigma is and the benefits of this type of project.
- Understand the DMAIC project method and the expected outputs at each milestone.
- Understand the usefulness of the different tools at different steps of the process.
- Know how to collaborate effectively to implement the tools.

Prerequisites
No prerequisites.
Pedagogy

The steps of the method and the tools are taught via exercises.

Participants perform exercises to practice acting as project team leaders.

As each DMAIC step is completed, Excel templates to document the results (charter, SIPOC, CTQ tree) and simple statistical tools (control charts, capability metrics) will be used.
Evaluation mode
- Knowledge test (MCQ).
