CQI-11 – Evaluation of special surface treatment processes: the method – #2511
Categories :
1,190.00 € HT
Context
- CQI-11 (Plating System Assessment) is a standard developed by the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) to evaluate and improve electroplating surface treatment systems in the automotive industry.
- In compliance with IATF 16949 and to meet specific customer requirements, this standard applies to all automotive suppliers performing surface treatment processes. The CQI-11 assessment aims to reduce the risk of failure in electroplating processes, ensure the reliability and durability of treated components, and guarantee compliance with the quality, safety, and performance expectations of automotive manufacturers.
- CQI-11 is part of a continuous improvement approach for special processes, providing a structured framework for self-assessment of process control, equipment compliance, personnel competence, and the effectiveness of existing controls.
- This training enables participants to understand the requirements and best practices of CQI-11, apply the self-assessment rules, and implement actions to improve surface treatment processes.
Objectives
- Understand the specific requirements of clients who require CQI-11.
- Be familiar with the content of the CQI-11 manual (self-assessment tables, job audits, etc.).
- Identify the key points of the manual and the gaps that need to be addressed to comply with it.
- Learn how to use the self-assessment criteria in the CQI-11 manual through a case study focusing on technical aspects.
- Develop an action plan to implement the CQI-11 manual.
Recommanded for
- Anyone responsible for developing, implementing or evaluating special processes
- Internal auditors and suppliers
Prerequisites
- You must have the latest edition of the CQI-11 manual and the assessment workbook (Excel file).
- General knowledge of the specific process.
Specific operating conditions for remote sessions
- Have a PC equipped with a microphone, webcam and, if possible, a headset for greater comfort. Note: To blur or hide the view from behind, background screens are available in Zoom or Teams.
- A good Internet connection, tested before the session.
- Locate in a quiet, isolated area; switch to “not available” status in Teams; close your email access and mute your phone to avoid distraction during the session.
- To avoid off-topic discussions during the session, participants from the same organisation should not be grouped together in the same room, but rather at their own desks. Virtual sub-groups will be set up specifically for the exercises, which will also allow for mixed groups to be created.
- The webcam and microphone must be open during remote qualification/certification exams. It may also be necessary for us to check that you are the only one in the room.
- We ask that you connect at least 5 minutes before the beginning of the session.
Pedagogy
- The course alternates between theoretical sessions on the requirements of the CQI-11 manual and practical sessions involving exercises and a case study focusing on technical aspects.
Evaluation mode
- Knowledge test (MCQ).
Course materials
-
Participant file containing the presentations delivered during the training and the exercise materials.
- Digital training materials are made available to trainees a few days before the start of the training course on our LMS platform.
