CQI-23 – Special Process: Moulding System Assessment – practice on site – #253
Categories :
Context
- CQI-23 (Moulding System Assessment) is a standard developed by the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) to evaluate and improve moulding process control, particularly plastic injection moulding, widely used in the automotive industry.
- In compliance with IATF 16949 and to meet specific customer requirements, this standard applies to all automotive suppliers using plastic injection moulding processes. The CQI-23 assessment aims to reduce the risk of failure in plastic moulding, ensure the reliability and performance of plastic components, and guarantee compliance with the quality, safety, and performance requirements expected by car manufacturers.
- CQI-23 is part of a continuous improvement approach for special processes, providing a structured framework for self-assessment of moulding process control, equipment compliance, staff competence, and the effectiveness of existing controls.
- This training enables participants to understand the requirements of the CQI-23 manual, perform self-assessment of their plastic moulding processes, evaluate supplier self-assessments, and develop an action plan to achieve CQI-23 compliance.
