Training content

Context

You are a VDA 6.3: 2023 qualified auditor, having completed an official VDA-QMC auditor qualification training course, or an upgrade to version 2023, and you would like to become a “certified auditor”.
Your customers’ CSRs require the “certified auditor” level.
You work for the VOLKSWAGEN Group, which through its specific requirements (Formal Q Capability) requires this certification for auditors carrying out “self-audits” and supplier audits.
Your company (or the Group to which your site belongs) would like to have certified internal and/or supplier auditors.
You are an external auditor from an independent third-party organisation appointed by the organisation to carry out VDA 6.3 audits.

Objectives

To be an independently recognised VDA 6.3: 2023 certified auditor in order to be able to meet customer or supplier requirements for auditor competence.
Your certificate will indicate that as a VDA 6.3 auditor you are able and authorised to independently conduct process audits in-house and at your suppliers.

Prerequisites

Prerequisites for participation :

The following documents must be submitted:

- a copy of your qualification certificate for the training course “VDA 6.3:2023 – Process Auditor – Qualification”.
- Proof of qualification as an auditor according to DIN EN ISO 19011: minimum 3 days training.
- Proof of knowledge of the Core Tools of the automotive industry VDA and AIAG, referenced in IATF 16949, by means of :
  - - Certificate of qualification for the 5-day VDA-QMC training course “Automotive Core Tools for Quality Management in the Automotive Industry” on the VDA and AIAG core tools (Euro-Symbiose training course # 9525)

- - - Certificate of qualification for the 2-day VDA-QMC training course “Auditing the German automotive core tools” (Euro-Symbiose training course #925), with knowledge of the German automotive core tools as a prerequisite

- - - certificate of qualification for a course of at least 2 days on VDA (preferably) or AIAG Core Tools completed since 2019 with another training provider.
    - and
    - Successful completion of an online quiz (30 questions – 1 hour) on automotive core tools VDA and AIAG: Follow the link to take the online quiz on the VDA website: Online Quiz – VDA

If you fail this quiz, the VDA-QMC training course “Auditing the German automotive core tools” (Euro-Symbiose training course #925), must be followed and the qualification obtained at the end of this training course (quiz of 20 questions in ½ hour).

Proof of at least 5 years’ professional experience in industry, including at least 2 years in quality management (curriculum vitae in table form).

Admission to the certification examination is granted only after successful examination of the application.

Evaluation mode

The examination takes the form of an audit simulation. The assessment focuses on the performance as an auditor during the simulation. The preparation of the audit, the auditor’s behaviour during the simulation and the follow-up of the debriefing are evaluated.
After passing the examination, you will receive a numbered VDA certificate which is registered in the QMC database (Qualitats Management Center im Verband der Automobilindustrie). Please note that this auditor’s certificate is valid for 5 years.

Checking of identities, and presentation of the examination procedure.

Session 2

Preparation phase (30 minutes)
You can use the written material from the course #941 you attended and the VDA 6.3: 2023, which you must bring to the exam.

Session 3

Audit simulation (25 minutes).

Session 4

Formulation, evaluation and justification of results (10 minutes).

Session 5

Interview (5-10 minutes).
